Getting your first Michigan license: 2 hours, done within the 5 years before your license is issued. Renewing: 1 hour for each year of your license cycle. That's 1 hour for a 1-year cycle, 2 for a 2-year cycle and 3 for a 3-year cycle. Not sure? Use Renewing in the menu up top.
Michigan doesn't pre-approve implicit bias courses or the companies that offer them. Its rule, R 338.7004, sets what the training has to cover. Our courses are built to that rule, including the pre- and post-tests it requires.
Social Work CE, 3 hours, $89. It covers 3 hours of implicit bias training and is approved by NASW-Michigan for 3.0 asynchronous social work CEs, approval number 20260926-CA-CLU. We report your completion to CE Broker. Michigan lets on-demand courses count for up to half of your 45 hours.
Yes. Start whenever you want, stop anytime, and pick up where you left off. Lots of people do it in short sessions.
Your name, the completion date, the course title and the sponsor. Those are the details Michigan asks you to keep if you're audited. You can download it the day you finish. Michigan asks you to keep it for 6 years after you apply.
